My name is Kevin Foureman of Dark Mannequin Designs.
My mission is to produce artistic images in various
types of media including drawing, painting,
photography, and model figure building. My work is
available by contacting me through my website. I am
also available for custom work such as photo shoots
for portfolio building, advertising flyers, webpage
pics, catalog fashion shoots, and anything else you
may come up with you would like to discuss. Many of my
images may be seen at various modelling websites that
are listed on my webpage.

While capable of shooting many different styles and
subject matter, the genres I am most comfortable
shooting in include: Goth, Industrial, Punk, J-Rock
Gothic/Lolita, Fetish, BDSM, Horror, Fantasy, and
other closely related types. Themes I am particularly
interested in include Doll, Puppet, Mannequin,
Vampire, Faery, Bondage, Piercing, Tattoo, Schoolgirl,
Fashion, Androgyny, and so many more.

My artwork especially revolves around my love for
fashion. I would love to do more fashion designing as
coming up with ideas for really kewl clothes has
always been something I loved to do. I really enjoy
coming up with entire styles including the hair and
make-up. And I have always loved designing shoes as
well. Especially those sexy platform styles. Big
industrial boots are way kewl too!

I started drawing and building models all the way back
when I was five years old. I have been doing it ever
since. My photography has developed over the last four
years. I am pretty much self-taught in all areas of
interest. I do, of course, seek input from many other
artists, model builders, and photographers as a way of
continuing to grow.

I have been influenced by so many things over my
lifetime, including TV, magazines (by the thousands),
and music. Seeing all those excellent fashion designs
as a kid growing up that Cher would wear on her show
by Bob Mackie seemed to start pushing me into my
interest in design. I wold sit and look at catalogs
full of clothes and try to design my own. I liked
reading (yeah right) Playboy magazine which developed
my love for the female form. And then came the big
influence, the Goth and New Romantic movements in the
early eighties! It slowly began to develop my more
dark and twisted visions you now see in much of my
work.

I love psychology and philosophy and I explore emotion
in relationships on a daily basis. This is something I
like to try to build into my images. My artistis
pieces often try to strip away the models personality
to a more core emotion. This is something that was
discussed with one of my favorite photographers Chas
Krider. He felt it was something I should explore in
my pursuit of my more timeless images. I am still very
much working on understanding this and is one of my
biggest challenges. The more portrait oriented pieces
I do are done with capturing the more outward pieces
of a persons personality , and those bits of hidden
personality that they would really like to portray
outwardly but often repress.

One of the best parts of doing photography has been
the interaction with the models. Working hard for a
relaxed shooting situation and building a trust with
those I work with often to continually get better and
better images as time goes on. My photography has kind
of taken over as my main pursuit as I am better able
to produce art and get it out there when placed aside
the time necessary for my regular job and family time.
I have a 14 year old daughter and a wife of 25 years.
And I have been at my regular job for 18 years now.
Perhaps someday my artwork will replace that regular
job and I can produce even more great images.
