Born in Hong Kong on August 16th she was released to an orphanage with her identical twin sister born four minutes before her. They were both adopted together by an English couple three years later.
Her father of Irish descent, and mother of English descent, brought them back to England at age four. Her father served in the British armed forces and her mother, a homemaker, ran the house. Due to her fathers career they moved often, living and visiting countries around the globe including England, Germany, Hong Kong, Bali, India, Holland and France.
Traveling the world gave her a true appreciation for other cultures and social attitudes and fostered a deep respect for new people and places. Traveling is something that she still enjoys and appreciates today.
Cultivating a deep love and respect for poetry at an early age she continues to immerse herself in poets both modern and historical, some of her favorites being Ella Wheeler Wilcox, Emily Matthews, Shakespeare, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson, Wilfred Owen, Horace, the list goes on and on.
She graduated high school in Hong Kong, gaining 12 GCSEs and several computer qualifications in French, English and German. She left home the same year as graduating school and returned to England. She had started studying Shotokan Karate in Hong Kong at 12 and continued on to also learn Shoto Kai, and Ninjitsu. She attended martial arts seminars in Portugal and England and also took some time to visit Spain.
She took an interest in windsurfing taking her instructor's certification at sixteen. Rock-climbing also became a great love, she took courses (and eventually instructed) both rock climbing and windsurfing.
Several years were spent in the music industry in the UK during the 90s, working with nightclubs and rave organizations including the Hippodrome, Club UK, United Dance, and Helter Skelter among others. It was during this time that she landed a role in a music video in 1996 for DJ's Stretch and Vern with the song "I'm Alive" a popular dance anthem during 1996 and 1997.
Attending college she studied choreography. Dance and theatre were other areas of study. After graduating, she traveled to the United States to teach.
After teaching for a year she moved to New York, where she worked on Whit Stillman's "Last days of disco". While living in New York she also worked with several popular New York nightclubs including The China Club , Ohm , Twirl , and Decades.
In late 2000 she fell into modeling when a friend invited her to a convention, an actress at the show suggested she try modeling for fantasy art. About a month later she was on a plane flying to L.A. to work with Dorian Cleavenger. Never expecting it to go beyond that she was surprised when within a few months she found herself posing for Julie Bell and after that more artists. She has had the pleasure of working with some of the best artists in the industry, including David Mack, Larry Elmore, Dorian Cleavenger, Julie Bell, Andy Lee, and many more.
She's been blessed to meet and work with many talented artists, photographers, actors, and models. The continued support from these professionals has touched her and encouraged her to continue to grow and explore other areas in this industry.
She'd like to thank Mike Lilly, David Mack, and Kevin Eastman for their encouragement and advice on her latest projects. She has been working on developing and creating a comic book, which shouldn't come as a surprise since she's been working in this industry for several years now!
She'd also like to thank Liam Sharp, Simon Thorpe, and Dorian Cleavenger for being wonderful friends, supporters, and encourager's of her endeavors.
Since beginning her modeling career she has been featured in three books published by Art Fantastix, art books by David Mack, Mark Texeira and Liam Sharp, two trading card sets including Starwars heritage, Star wars empire comic books and several magazines including Star Wars Insider, Heavy Metal Magazine, and Femme Fatale.
Having had the opportunity to work with many talented people and doing what she does for so long Nutopia has enjoyed both the journey and the discovery of her craft. Nutopia has started production on two movie projects this year and hopes to transition to acting in the coming years. Appreciation for where she started and her fan base will ensure that she will continue to create art with talented artists and photographers. The continued support from her fans has been overwhelming, Nutopia would like to thank all the fans who have supported her career over the years and hopes that they will continue to do so as her career moves forward.
